The brief

The brief explores how a family home can feel open without giving away privacy to a dense urban setting. Social spaces need to connect naturally while quieter rooms retain a sense of retreat.

The design approach

A sheltered entrance leads towards a central living space, with planted edges softening the transition between inside and out. Carefully placed openings bring in light without relying on fully exposed glass walls.

Material & atmosphere

A restrained palette of warm timber, pale mineral surfaces and deep green planting gives the proposal a calm, domestic character.
